Ingredients:

  • 500 g rolled oats

  • ¼ cup silan (date syrup) / grape honey / fig honey (or similar)

  • ½ cup oil (I use a mix of cold-pressed olive oil and sesame oil)

  • ½ cup nuts of your choice (I use local almonds)

  • Dried fruit to taste

Optional upgrades:

  • Spices

  • Coconut flakes

Instructions:

  1. Mix the oats, silan, and oil thoroughly.

  2. Chop the nuts and add them to the mixture.

  3. Spread the mixture evenly on a baking tray (preferably lined with baking paper) and place in a preheated oven at 150°C (300°F), no fan.

  4. Bake for 35 minutes, stirring the mixture every 10 minutes.

  5. Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 30 minutes.

  6. Chop the dried fruit and add it to the mixture.

  7. Store in an airtight container to keep crunchiness.
